Sandy beach, sea, peace and quiet except midsummer. What are you looking for?

Freshwater East is a hamlet next to a beach. There is a pub there, see Dai's post also pubs in neighbouring villages. I've only eaten at the Stackpole Inn, which was good. You would probably have to go to Pembroke, four miles or so, for food shops. Tesco, Asda, Lidl are at Pembroke Dock. I went to a place called the Longhouse which is in a 'holiday village' at Freshwater East for a not very special bar meal a few years ago.

However you are in a beautiful part of Wales, stunning beaches and on the coastal path so plenty of walking. Barafundle beach, Bosherston Lily Ponds etc

hi alan,

well the other posters are right..

great beach, great sand...

a holiday village with a bar, also a pub in the main village.good food there, or was...

yes it is quiet, except in august( when school;s are out.)..

next village is llamphey with a pub and 2 hotels, it is a shop/petrol station, also a baker.it also has a train station, so easy to visit tenby or pembroke.also has the ruins of a bishops palace.

.pembroke has hotels and restaurants, and assorted shops...also a big castle - henry 7th and all that jazz - worth a look..( but then i am a bit biased..)it is a walled town so worth a strole around the walls too.

as said before, if you want a big supermarket you will have to go to pembroke dock..

also, the castle out at carew..also has a pub with food, it has a covered area for those wet days.

how far out do you want to go to do things??
