Ban Po, Koh Samui

Hi there, will be travelling to Samui in April 2013, just seeking info on the Bang Po area. What is the beach like, local food and restaraunts, motorbike hire. Best area for snorkeling.

Any advise welcome

hi there

bang po is laid back and rustic

i find the beach fine ,but areas with coral reefs are around

great local food on the beach and main ring road

bike hire are all over samui so you wont have problems hiring a scooter in the area

april could be ok for snorkelling around the four seasons area [close by]

otherwise a trip to koh tao would be advisable

In bang Po you will find a lots of cheap places to stay and and lots of little loclas beach shacked places to eat. As said is more laid back and rustic. I would assumed quieter at night.
