No you won't make the Flyer ;it leaves at 8.30am daily there is a seaplane but you would probably be too late for them too (Turtle Airways) you could enquire.

Most of us opt for an overnight stay in Nadi. Bluewater Lodge or the Mercure Hotel are not too far from either the airport or the marina, you can check thse out online too.;

As Hooked advises -- Turtle Airways fly to NIR but if the weather is bad, they won't take off and there is the chance you won't get to Nanuya and will miss a night's accomodation that you would have already paid for.

NIR and Turtle suggest to fly earlier in the day to try and avoid any bad weather and have more time for any delays that may happen........

Much better to overnight in Nadi and then get the seaplane or the Yasawa Flyer up there. We are staying Bluewater Lodge.

Don't know if Turtle's special of FJ$235 pp is still on (normally FJ$440).

If you are going to fly, don't forget the 15kg baggage allowance. It is a small plane. I always recommend the Yasawa Flyer and pay the extra for the Captains Club; it is clearly worth the little extra for lots of extras on the 4-5 hour journey to NIR.

If you want to do any pre-island shopping, I recommend you stay closer to Nadi, ie Raffles Gateway (5-minute walk to the airport) and 60 cent bus into Nadi. The downside is the longer journey to Denarau the following morning.

Have a great time in Fiji.

stay over night near the airport andyes, ride the local bus into town. they have great bakeries, open air markets, and kava markets...fun. and a few tourist shops thrown in for good measure. there is a fabulous indian restaurant near the main tourist shop (forget the name, but it is a stand out) and a nice market to buy some goodies. and the bus is open air.
