Hi,

To Olhos D´Agua until Albufeira is mor and less 45 minutes walking but is a busy road. To Vilamoura is a litle bit more dificult...., better is go walking to the beach, catch Falesia beach near Riu Palace hotel and walk more and less 30/45 munutes and you will find Vilamoura beach.

And to get to Albufeira there are a fair few hills involved also.

There's a reasonable bus service but it doesn't go down into the old town, leaving you a 6 or 7 minute walk from the nearest stop.

Take a look at my personal website

www.algarvebus.info/002w.htm

Lenor is correct - the only way to walk to Vilamoura is along the beach as there is no road but it is a long way, perhaps 4 miles. Some of the beach walk can only be done at low tide. The buses also run from Olhos D'Agua to Vilamoura, which is nearly 8 miles by road.

Walked from Olhos de Agua to Villamoura on 7th October 2009. Loved it! It is 7km long and took us (in our 60's) nearly 2 hours with a short stop at a beach bar. Best to get on to Falezia beach down the stone steps near the Falezia hotel or alternatively the wooden steps near Riu Palace (but watch that it is not high tide as there are some rocks to cross).

We got a taxi back (just ask at a bar or shop where the taxi rank is). It cost us 13 euros on the clock and took at least 30 minutes.

Excellent! I'll bet it was warm going though. Nice to know people do that walk.
