Cubsur will be the best person to answer your question he has a website with all the information on buses & transport around the Algarve, but he will be able to explain it to you better posting what you require.

This is his website if you want to look, there is lots of other info on it what might be helpful.

Getting to Lagos from Olhos D'Agua means taking one bus to Albufeira and another from there. Check these timetables and don't trust any connection of less than 15 minutes at Albufeira as buses do not wait.

Olhos D'Agua - Albufeira - Lagos www.algarvebus.info/002w.htm

Lagos - Albufeira - Olhos D'Agua www.algarvebus.info/002e.htm

Note that the last weekday bus from Lagos at 1800 continues beyond Albufeira to Olhos D'Agua with the same driver, but as it is a different route most drivers insist you get out of the bus, go to the ticket office and buy a second ticket!

The bus fare each way will come to a total of €7,60. The nearest railway station to Olhos D'Agua is about 6 miles and that means two buses or a 10 Euro taxi ride even before you get on the train.

A taxi to Lagos would be at least 60 Euros each way.

Correct - getting from the airport to Albufeira requires a bus into the city centre first, then another bus to Albufeira. Cheap but slow and at weekends possibly a very long wait in Faro.

Airport - Faro www.algarvebus.info/003.htm

Faro - Albufeira www.algarvebus.info/002w.htm

The shared transfer 'shuttles' like Resorthoppa won't cost much more and will be quicker if you are lucky to be one of the first to be dropped off. Depends where you are going though, as some will only drop at main roads etc.
