Remote is the word. It's pretty much out on its own.

It's actually only about 30 minutes walk from Vilamoura's bright lights, going along the footpath above the beach. There is no road. I went that way a few weeks ago.

Going towards Olhos D'Agua, the nearest bar is about half a mile, then a couple of hundred yards or so further there's another couple and a small shop outside the Alfamar resort complex, then nothing much for nearly another mile. The one outside the Alfamar isn't bad. Last time I was there it was pretty busy with British people from the resort.

They run minibuses to Olhos D'Agua (which is about 3 miles9 and Albufeira which is about 6 miles. There is also a highly irregular local bus from outside the door to those same places.

About locacion, Cubsor has already answer to you question. There are nothing around and car is necessary or use taxi service, If you want go for a walking there are nothing in area. However, could be a good choice hire a car for 3 days and visit a few places like Vilamoura. Albufeira, Silves Castle etc. Is not very expensive hire a small car and hotel recepcion helps you.

Is a very nice all inclusive, nice pools, good foods, entertainment, lovely beach with sunbeds and parasols and nice rooms too. Superior rooms are much better and has better locacion inside resort, near restaurants and bars. Better choose superior rooms.
