Kato Stalos to Agii Apostoli

Us Crete first-timers have just booked into Marakas Apts at KS and was wondering if the road between the two resorts is ok (pavemented/safe) for walking on. Any comments on the aforementioned apartments would also be more than welcome as there are only a couple on TA and a handfull on Booking.com

Many Thanks

Don't know What part of Ag. Apostoli you will be aiming for, but I would cut down beside the Atlantica Kalliston and walk down the beach. O.K. sand is not so easy to walk on, but you'll be away from the traffic and it's a much more pleasant walk. If you are keen, you can walk alongside the park in Ag.Apostoli, back onto the beach at Chryssi Akti and then all the way into Chania, (you may have to paddle across the river unless it has decided, or been encouraged, to go back under the footbridge instead of around it).

Hope you have a good trip.

Depends on how seriously you walk. We tend to stroll in, enjoying the view, and exploring interesting stuff, having coffees or beers ice creams etc., so takes us an hour or so. If you are in a hurry take the No. 21 bus into Chania from Ag.Apostoli, it will take you into Platia 1866 in about 15 minutes about three times an hour, for €1.10 (cheaper if you buy ticket in shop.)

We dont walk seriously in 35c so I think your coffee/beer amble sounds much nicer than the bus. We are spending our last 3 days in a Chania harbour front hotel so a stroll in before we go there may unearth a few places of interest.

Thanks and Happy New Year to you both
