Re above posts; Lol :)

In answer to your question; Busy, very busy!

Best idea in the evening if you're trying to get into town, is to wait on the other side, get on & pay to Kouk, (Think €1.60)then stay on & pay again for journey into town - first on the bus then :D

Still cheaper than taxi unless 4 share & agree price in advance.

We are going the same time as you as we did last year. We just found using the buses really good fun. But if coming back from town make your way to the door a couple of stops early as you might just miss your stop, as we did the first time, but all part of the fun. There were a few times on the way in that a taxi stopped and we haggled her down to the same cost as the bus.

I've probably posted this before but Oh for the days when 'Frankie Dettori' was conductor and his brother-in-law the driver on the packed buses, they crammed them on and Frankie would have to leg it from door to door at each stop, BiL would give a short intro to the highlights of each place of stop then play his Greek music and sing along with anybody who had a free hand clapping in time ... you were packed on like sardines, the bus travelled at probably no more than 20mph but everybody got off safe and sound with a smile on their face and shaking the hands of driver and conductor ... happy days.

Amazing how a simple bus journey can stay in your memory.

Good shout TheHappening! Used the same trick myself when trying to get back from Kouk when the queue was huge. Just walked back one stop and flagged the bus down on it's way into Kouk! Got the best seat on the bus!
