Airport Transfer

Hiya

Myself, husband and our little girl who will be almost 2 plus our luggage and a pushchair will arrive in crete next year to stay at the Stella Village.

I was wondering who best to book transfers with and what sort of prices are we looking at for either shared shuttle or preferably a taxi - we also would like back to the airport on departure.

Thank you!

Hi there

Analipsi is about 20 kms east of the airport, you can either grab a taxi at the airport, cost one way is about €35. There are various resort transfer companies you can look at including Resorthoppa and Transfers4U, both are reliable and efficient but they will charge per person whereas the taxi charge is for up to four people, so bear that in mind when you compare prices.

A third option is to use the regular buses - any bus that stops at the airport with Hersonissos, Stalis or Malia on the front will set down on the main road to the south of Analipsi. Bus fare to Analipsi is about €3,50 one way but I don't know how far your hotel is from the bus stop. Same for going back to the airport - any bus that stops on the main road with "IPAKLIO" on the front will set down at the airport before terminating at Iraklion's bus station.

Just thought of a fourth option - contact the hotel and see whether they offer a collection service from the airport, you never know.

Its quite a hike with baggage and pushchair from the main Analipsi bus stop to the Stella, the Stella is at the other end of Analipsi where there the road ends

Thanks. Looking at transfers we are looking at approx £47+ on a shuttle. Is it easy enough to grab a taxi at the airport and without getting ripped off. Lol. Whenever we have gone away I have booked whether it be a shuttle or a taxi pre-booked.

We often use taxis and have not had any problems, just agree a price before you leave, im sure if you mention Stella Palace they will know where you mean

Hi there

Is that £47 return for the shuttle, for you all, if so, that's a good rate and likely to be cheaper than a return cab ride although you might well have a few drop offs en route to Analipsi. Unfortunately, you won't know until you get on the shuttle so I too would opt for the taxi, fastest option and you'll go directly to your hotel. No need to book, there are always loads of taxis waiting for a fare when there are inbound flights.

Thats fab thank you! Our flight lands at approx 7.30pm. It is likely with an almost 24 month old little girl we will just end up jumping in a cab! Lol.
