Travelling between Marseillan Plage and Collouire

We are driving between these two towns (one night in each). We are thinking of having a look at Narbonne and Perpignan - any other suggestions on other towns in the area which would be great to see.

We've holidayed in both these areas (and many inbetween). Be sure to build in some time to drive around the Collouire area, particularly up in the hills - there is some spectacular scenery, also many hidden little coves and beaches, found by following unmarked tracks off the main road. We drove to the Tour de la Madeloc (sp?) near Collouire, which can be seen for miles. You have to leave your car by the double pillar entrance and walk for another 15 mins or so - but the views will stay with me for the rest of my life. The main towns you have mentioned, there is also Carcassonne (setting of Kate Mosse's books).
