Hi there, I am told that wine is very expensive in Phuket. Does anyone know the appox cost of a botle of chardonnay.
You can buy a chardonnay for about twenty five dollars but the quality is much lower quality than you can get for the same price in Australia. We find the wines from Chile the best value.
at one of the larger suplliers or VIlla Market/Promphan/makro/ large tesco.
Big One in Kata has some wine but starts about 600Edited: 09 February 2012, 05:16
That should give you a good idea about prices
It's about 800 baht upwards, depending on the wine you choose in restaurants.
Hahaha, you're not supposed to drink the whole 5 litres in one sitting!
As a result of your posts, I am thinking about taking a case of Chardy..Any one help me with Customs & Corkage??? Thanks...There are two of guzzling..
You're allowed to bring in 1 litre each. Most of the small local restaurants will be OK about you bringing your own wine as long as you ask first. The fancier restaurants will charge corkage.
wine in the 7-11 was about 450bht in patong it might have been this stuff though
