No it is not very busy at the moment Swans. June is a relatively quiet month. However there are many surfers enjoying the waves. Please remember that the sea is too rough for swimming at this time of year.

Enjoy your holiday! :-)

Avista is not very far from the Kata Night Market. Probably less than a 10 minute walk. From Avista, you'll want to go down to Kata Road and go south. Go left at the intersection where there is a 7-11 across from a currency exchange booth. You'll also see Dome Resort on this road. Keep walking towards the Beach Boutique Hotel and you'll see the night market on the left.

If you go north on Kata Road, there is Two Chefs. You can have some tasty dishes there while listening to an acoustic band. Prices are mid range, but the ambiance is very pleasant. Just a little further north is Kata Villa--great for their cheap prices, good portions, and daily specials. Near the Night Market--same side of the street--is Red Snapper. They have a delicious salmon salad there.
