Twinpalms resort Surin Beach

we are planning to stay here at end Sept/early October. Hoping you might let us know of some good restaurants along the beach and what are the best day trips to take from here. Also, what did you think of the resort?

Hi,stayed here in October 2013 and thought it was a very good hotel and well run, breakfast was good with champagne if you wanted it. Sunday brunch has to be one of the best on the island.staff were polite and helpful if needed and nothing was to much trouble.

As te beach has now been cleared of all the beach clubs and illegal shacks not sure what is left restaurant wise,.we found that as you face the sea the further left you went the better the restaurants seemed to be.

As for day trips it is easy to do any trip you desire from here if you have an idea of what you want to do/ see it might be easier to hire a local driver through this forum.there is a local taxi cartel just up the road with fixed prices displayed and like most places don't like outsiders picking up fares from the hotel

Beach is best for sunset drinks and then elsewhere for dinner

In Laguna there is Siam Supper Club, Dedos and Tatonka

Also over the hill from TP is Riverside Restaurant (best little local ever)

Other island treats are White Box, Silk @ Andara and Ka Jok See for an "amazing" night out

Best day trip on foot is Laem Singh Beach :)

Enjoy!!!!!

Hi sorry for taking so long to thank you for your post. We will be at Twinpalms in 4 weeks so are hoping that it'll be OK and there will be some local restaurants still there.
