EPM vs. Le Blanc

We have booked a RTT for the last week of august. Cannot wait, everything looks and sounds like we will have a great honeymoon. However, after seeing the price increases for next year, will be looking for alternatives. Can anyone compare EPM and LE BLANC, or suggest something else that would be similar to EPM.

We have stayed once at EPM and 3x at LeBlanc. Also have stayed at Secrets Capri, Zoetry, El Dorado Royale (brief stay as we checked out after 36 hours), Beach Palace, Grand Velas, The Grand and more.

Le Blanc is our hands down favorite for adult only in this area. Versus EPM, at LeBlanc we preferred:

Quality of beach and ocean

Three infinity pools

Food - far superior in all restaurants

Wine selection

Top shelf liquor availability

Location

Rooms and views - great bedding and amenities

Service including non intrusive butler service

Wonderful spa and gym

Extensive room service options

Attention to detail

Secrets Maroma is physically similar to EPM but with a much nicer beach. Main pool is quite small though.

Iberstar Grand is a very nice luxury resort that we enjoyed more than EPM for:

Quality of beach and ocean

Three pools with a gorgeous main pool and quiet tranquility pool

Food quality

Wine selection

Top shelf liquor availability

Location

Rooms - great bedding and large bathrooms that offer privacy

Good luck with your decision!

Thanks caviargal for the comparisons. We just returned from EPM and really enjoyed everything about it but also wondered about LeBlanc for the next trip. Have also stayed at Secrets Maroma and enjoyed it too, but always looking forward to another new adventure. Thanks for the info.

Please note that the majority of the rooms at Le Blanc only have french balconies - just in case a balcony is important to you

Thanks flipflop_man. Yes a balcony is kind of important to us, so I appreciate knowing in advance.

Do you have to wear wristbands at EPM? NO .... At LeBlanc? Not sure.

How about dinner reservations each night? EPM? NO ...LeBlanc? Not sure

Hi Mattbethnewjersey,

All good points (or questions). If either wristbands or reservations are required at LeBlanc, those would be deal-breakers for us.

Not a problem - many people seem to miss out the downsides

We love the balconies at EPM as they are so large and the day bed it such a nice touch

We also loved the balcony at EPM. ( I will be posting my review shortly.) We lucked out and received a RTT without any request. It would be hard not to have any balcony after that wonderful experience.

I am not sure that I would want to go anywhere now that doesn't have a day bed on the balcony like EPM does. We talk about it all the time.......:)
