As u r from Bangalore Wayanad is the right choice.

Day 1:

Leave Bangalore early in the Morning.

Wayanad is nearly 270 Kilometers away from BLR and it takes about six hours journey.

You are coming through Mysore and Wayanad wildlife sanctuary at Muthanga.

You can spend time in both the locations and it is worth seeing.

Check in to your accommodation.

There are a lot of good resorts and homestays in Wayanad.

I think it is better prefer homestays to resorts for there will be more care and attention.

Kalpetta or Sulthan Bathery is the major towns in Wayanad. You can stay in both these towns and there are good accommodation too...

Day 2:

Go to Soochippara falls

visit tea plantations and tea factory.

Day 3:

Proceed to Pookod Lake, Churam View Point, Chain Tree, Lakkidi and Banasura Sagar Dam

Day 4:

Visit Kuruva Islands and Edakkal Caves

By evening you can go back to BLr.

Pls. remember that jungle traffic is not allowed between 21:00 to 06:00 hours.

try to pass jungles before 9 P.M or otherwise leave the next day.

Thank You

early morning by car to Vythiri village resort or banasura hill resort and go about sightseeing at your leisure. As there are many places to see and all are at least 30 Km from 1 another and it takes quite a time to travel on the ghat roads, best thing you can do on return is visit edakkal caves(if you've stamina to do a steep climb)

Hi there,

Glad to know your Kerala plans:

Day 1: Arrive Kochi airport/railway station @ morning, Visit theme park www.veegaland.com(25kms) for kidos. Stay at Kochi and do shopping in the evening.

Day 2: Checkout and transfer to Kumarakom backwaters (80kms).

Day 3: Morning bird sanctuary visit, Checkout. At 1200 board House for a trip from kumarakom to Alleppey (overnight all inclusive trip)

Day 4: Checkout at 0900am and Stay at Marari Beach(20kms)

Day 5: Checkout and drop to railway station/airport at Kochi.

I have considered short trips cause you have kids and prefer you to enjoy nature and activities than travelling from places to places.
