Winter actiites

We are looking at going to Finland beginning of November for about 4 nights, have looked at some tours but they are all a bit expensive so wondering if anyone has suggestions on where to go? We are mainly keen on doing a husky safari - just a day or half day, snowmobiling, snowboarding and definately the northern lights. I have read a good review about Rovaniemi and www.huskypoint.fi but have also found a good hotel deal in Luosto and wondering has anyone been here? Also is it far from all the Santas Village stuff?? Thanks!

are you tied to going at the start of Nov as the later on in the year and the more north you can go the better snow conditions you are going to get

my first trip to lapland was to yllas one christmas and we ended up having to go to Rov (south of yllas) and there was no snow there at all

are you also tied to going to Rov as there are lots of other places you can go

Poe is spot on. Rov doesn't have the greatest snow record, nor does Luosto in November.

Certainly, in Luosto you'll find limited husky safaris because the trails are rarely down by late Nov.

How about end of Dec to Pyha? Should be snow, right? How to keep warm with our normal winter coats?

Snow cover is practically guaranteed for late December.
