How long of a drive from Kalispell to Many Glacier Lodge?

Going from Kalispell, how long does it take to drive from Kalispell to Many Glacier Lodge? Is the most direct route on the Going to the Sun Road? What if the Going to the Sun Road is closed in September due to road construction? Is there an alternative road? Thanks much.

Driving across GTTSR will take 2-3 hours depending on traffic delays as they are doing repairs. After GTTSR at St. Mary you must go an additional 25 minute or so drive to get to Many Glacier. The fastest way would be go south of the park on 2 but this is still probably close to 2 hours. We have done it many times, but really didn't keep track of the time. We are always getting out of the car and sightseeing. Also from Kalispell it is 30 or so minutes to the park entrance and the Sun Rd.
