Best campgrounds

I am having a hard time deciding on which campgound to camp at for my trip in late June. They all seem so nice. Does anybody have a favorite? Or one to stay away from. We are tent campers and will not have a trailer/RV.

Many Glacier / Swiftcurrent. Don't know about the campground but the area is spectacular. Several hiking trails start there too. I think the name is Many Glacier but its located nearer Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.

We liked Sprague Creek, it's smaller than the others on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, and only tents. The sites on the road side are a bit close to the road, but if you can get one close to the lake it is very nice! Good access to Avalanche Lake hike and Apgar lookout. However, if you want to hike the east side of the part;, you might want to stay at Many Glacier also.

Fish Creek near Lake McDonald is wonderful. You can get sites right on the creek, or right near the lake, if you get there early enough in the day.

Also, you can decide on your campground once you get here if you can arrive midday.

Happy camping!

PS Bring rain gear just in case.

Depends on which side of the park you are setting up at;

east=Many Glacier

South=Two Medicine

West=sprague first, apgar 2nd(for proimity to the village only, or fish creek for more traditional camp experience
