How bad are mosquitoes this time of year at GNP?

If you have any information on whether we need to be prepared for lots of mosquitos in early/mid-June in Glacier, as well as any tips for, it would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

It's not too bad. Bring bug spray, long pants and long sleeves and a hat just in case. They tend to be worse in the evening when the winds calm. Glacier can be a real windy place. The west side has worse mosquitoes due to less wind and warmer temps.

Just got back from visiting Lake McDonald (near West Glacier) today. Mosquitos are quite bad out in the Fish Creek Campground where we hiked. At Lake McD Lodge they were not noticable. We've had an extremely wet spring, with more rain in the forcast. Come prepared to deal with them: long sleeves, repellent, and the mindset that you won't let them wreck your vacation! It will vary based on where you are in the park and which way the wind is blowing.

Mosquitos frequently bad, as noted above, in certain places in the park. Swarms of them at times, but again just depends on where you are and where they are.
