I didn't get a response, but we decided on the CM Russell trail. Our family had never been on a trail ride together. The kids had various scouting and birthday party experiences on horses, but we are beginners for sure. So, two hours was the right amount of time for us. The trail is mostly wooded. There were a couple of meadows. For the most part, there are not stunning views like in the rest of GNP. We enjoyed our experience, but somehow were probably expecting or hoping for something more adventurous or spectacular if that makes sense. We saw a deer and the highlight was seeing a bald eagle perched in a tree probably only 15 feet off the trail. You aren't allowed to take cameras on the trail ride with you. I understand why, but would have liked to have pictures of the eagle. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, I am happy to answer. We loved our GNP trip this past summer.
