What is the minimal time recommended to see GNP? Example,

how long should one stay to basically see most of the sites in GNP. We are somewhat flexable in the amount of time we can stay. But, before we start making plans I wanted to at least get a feel for how many days, as a minimal would be recommended.

Thanks in advance.

Yes the walk into Fishercap is a great one. My wife and daughter loved it.

Time depends greatly on how much hiking you do and what other activities you do outside of the park.

I usually recommend 5 days.....

1-2 day west glacier area with Lake MacDonald area. Use the extra day to explore the NW corner near Polebridge.

1 day for the going to the sun road/St Mary's area

1 day for Two Medicine area

1-2 day for Many Glacier area

these days assume you will take a boat trip and do 1-2 shorter 1-2 hr hikes.

If you do any of those 6-8 mile hikes that can talk half day at least then you add time for that in your planning.

If you do tour hikes or out of the park activities like horseback riding...add time for that. if you re the type who just wants a day to relax....then add that into it.
