Which lodge is better, Kachina or Thunderbird lodge? Thanks in advance.

Doesn't really matter, both are on the rim and are hotel/motel style rooms! We stayed in Thunderbird in Oct and loved it! 2 floors and no elevators in either one!

Make your decision soon and book it!

They are very similar to one another, they were built at around the same time, next door to each other, in the same location (right on the canyon rim). Neither lodge has any food & beverage facilities, but restaurants are conveniently located at El Tovar Hotel and Bright Angel Lodge. Make a choice and grab it quickly because rimside Grand Canyon lodges are always first to fill.

Thanks for the advice on booking in advance. I had already booked the Thunderbird 2nd floor partial view because the Kachina was already full for the dates we are going.
