Is it too late?

We are driving to Las Vegas tomorrow and have reservations in Williams tonight. If we got to. The Grand Canyon at 7:30 tonight would it be too late to see anything?

It's unfortunate you didn't ask earlier.

You might just make sunset, but if you then need to turn around and get to Williams for the night it's a lot of extra driving for not much. besides, you'd have to drive back to Williams very, very carefully and slowly, as the elk and other animals would then be out and about and would have to be expected to be crossing the highway in front of you.

Got to the Grand Canyon a little earlier than 7 pm. The weather was perfect! A cool 84 degrees and. Still lots of light left! Had time to see quite a bit then caught the IMAX show in tusayan. Road back to Williams was good! Saw one elk and it was in downtown tusayan. Great stop!

Laura, so glad you were able to get there and "see" the GC!
