what order to do things? and which airport to fly into?

We would like to see the sights below. What would be the best airport to fly into and then which order to see these sites? how many days are needed assuming we don't mind 10 hour days?

any additional sites which are near by and "must see".. ? do any of these need to be seen at a certain time of day?

Grand Canyon ,Antelope Canyon , Lake Powell , Bryce Canyon , Horseshoe Bend, Monument Valley, Arches National Park , Sedona, hover dam, rt 66 possible?

then off to vegas and LA. fly black to NY from LAX

You can fly into either Phoenix or Las Vegas.

Assuming you're flying into Las Vegas this could be a possible route:

Las Vegas to Sedona via Hoover Dam and Route 66

Sedona to Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon to Page (Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend)

Page to Monument Valley

Monument Valley to Moab (Arches National Park)

Moab to Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon to Las Vegas

Don't know how much time you have to do this tour, but this is what I would recommend:

Sedona - 3 days

Grand Canyon - 2 days

Page - 2 days

Monument Valley -1 day

Moab - 3-4 days

Bryce Canyon - 2 days

In Page I recommend you look into the half day float trip on the Colorado River.

In Moab there is also Canyonlands National Park nearby which deserves a visit.

Between Moab and Bryce Canyon you could stop for a day or two at Capitol Reef National Park. There is also Goblin Valley State Park and Lower Calf Creek Falls along the way, which takes a few hours to see.

Between Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas there is Zion National Park which deserves at least 2 days, and probably 3-4 to do it justice

Maybe already read this for travelling the Grand Circle:

As mentioned, in the above route you should add 2 nights for Zion between Bryce and Las Vegas and between Moab and Bryce an overnight stay in Torrey for Capitol Reef NP.

You need 2-3 weeks for this tour, as Tet has listed. Either PHX or LV make the most sense for air. SLC might be feasible. When are you contemplating doing this trip?

I should add we would prefer sites that could be driven to and don't require more than 20 minutes of walking.

Plan on doing it in may. Not including LA and Vegas only have 3 days .

3 days?

Fly into Phoenix and you'll have time for Sedona and the Grand Canyon NP. Or fly into Las Vegas and you have time for Zion and Bryce. Period.

Those destinations are places where you can go and see sights and a variety of view points without having to do long walks. But they do take time. They are not 20 minute stop overs and then move on to another park or destination that is 3-5 hours away. Your wish list is impossible and out of the question.

Correction: It was Rosinmanden who listed the minimum times needed at the various destinations, not Tet. However the numbers are accurate.

3 days? Does that mean only 2 nights?
