Good to see water ...again

We traversed the park from east to west today and back again. While it was raining and has been for a few days, it sure is good to see old creek beds flowing, and small branches that feed them. Water is the heart and soul of the Smokies and hopefully the 2 year drought has ended.

Spring is on its way with the trillium popping up and starting to bloom!

The sky has been overcast for days here in Chattanooga, and there's seldom a time when it's not raining. It's wonderful! I didn't think of the affects over in the Smokies. It's good to hear that the rain forest will be maybe no longer deprived of rain. I was just reading in "Strangers in High Places" about a hike up to the Chimneys in the rain...
