Tubing Deep Creek or River Rats

Our first time with light weight kids 7-10. What is the difference? Different creeks?

I don't know anything about Deep Creek Tubing except that Deep Creek is in NC near Bryson City.

Smoky Mountain River Rats is located in Townsend, TN and they tube on the Little River. I enjoyed River Rats with my family, kids 8 & 11.

different rivers, different side of the mountain. i haven't spent as much time on Deep Creek but, from memory, they're about the same.

This time of year, both Deep Creek and Townsend are indeed about the same for tubing; both have pretty low water levels except just after thunderstorms.

In either case, you'll be "bumping your behind' on the rocks a lot due to the low water level.

Deep Creek is much more secluded. Few people make it to that part of the park because it is so far away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Also, righ there at the Deep Creek entrance you've got a lovely two mile loop to three large waterfalls. Highly recommended.
