The hotel is now open. Be aware that it is not in a convenient location if you are interested in visiting the park. It is on the east end of Sequim, which adds about 1/2 hour each way to a trip to Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, Rialto Beach, the Hoh Rain Forest, the Victoria Ferry, etc...

On the other hand, it is large, brand new, and it appears to be run according to Holiday Inn Express standards, which is more than you can say about some of the area lodging. it lacks charm, but it is close to a Costco and the best restaurant in the North Olympic Peninsula, Alderwood Bistro, as well as the wonderful Bell Street Bakery.

I am not a fan of Sequim, but if you don't mind an extra hour round trip from the major park attractions, this hotel might be a good choice.

How long will the drive from the HI Express to the Bainbridge Island Ferry take on a Friday morning if we want to get on the 9:40am ferry to Seattle?
