RMNP, Estes Park next week

We are visiting northern CO next week, with no set itinerary. I hear that Estes Park is gorgeous, but that roads through RMNP are closed. Is there still plenty to see and do in the area? We are fairly athletic so we'd love outdoor activities. Thanks a lot

Trail Ridge Road and Fall River Road are closed but all other roads are open. You can still drive around the Park, you just can't get from the east side to the west side (or vice versa). There is plenty to see and do. Depending on how much snow is left from last week, you can still hike. You may want to check out the Park website: http://www.nps.gov/romo/index.htm

There is still plenty to do in Estes! And since it's Nov., it will be much quieter than September, so I find it easier to enjoy without all the masses of tourists running around! Some of the lower elevation trails still should be good to hike on and there is plenty to see and do in the town of Estes. Have fun!
