Trail Ridge Road

With very short notice, I will find myself in the beautiful state of Colorado at the end of this week. I'm hoping to drive through RMNP on Sunday, June 26th (traveling West to East, exiting at Estes Park). However, I see that Trail Ridge Road is currently closed due to snow and ice. What are the chances that this road will be open by Sunday? Is this closure a fluke or something that is to be expected in late June?

If Trail Ridge Road is closed on Sunday, any guesses as to how far into the park I would be able to drive? And would it be worth the effort?

1. Re: Trail Ridge Road

Per the recorded message this morning (6:44am MDT), Trail Ridge Rd (TRR) is open. With the warm and sunny forecast for the next few days, I expect the road will remain open.
