Best time for wildflowers in RMNP?

We are planning a trip to see wildflowers -- would April or May best? Thanks in advance!

April is still wintry weather, and May is too, at the higher elevations. Mid to late June through July and even into August would be better for wildflowers.

Missp is correct. Hopefully we will still have plenty of snow in April and May. Rarely will there be wildflowers until mid June. July is "normally" a good month for wildflowers.

RMNP is not the best place to see wildflowers in Colorado. If the east side (Estes Park) side does not get significant snow in the next few months, the wildflower display will not be that good. It was rather sad last year with the drought. The west side of RMNP (Grand Lake side) has received decent snow and the flowers should be better.

We have found from our spring planting of seeds that August gave us more results than July, FWIW
