Family of 4 visiting in Summer 2013. Which lodge to chose?

Hi all

We're a bit at lost at to where to spend 2 nights in Sequoi and Kings Canyon National Park.

For our dates, the availability with 2 queen beds are with

-Cedar Grove

-John Muir

-Stony Creek

We are real city slickers and "having rough nights" si not part of what we're looking for! Let's say we like our comfort !

Any suggestion as to which lodge we should pick?

Many thanks!

John Muir is the better of the three.

Wuksachi is the best of all if you can get a reservation there.

Wusachi lodge is your best bet for comfort if it is available. Cedar Grove is OK but very definitely rustic and may not be your cup of tea. It is convenient if you drive into Kings Canyon and do not want to drive up and out the same day. Muir is centrally located so is a good option to use a base camp.

Great choice, Pacifici. We stayed here this past summer and loved it. If you are interested, please feel free to read my review on the property. It's relatively recent and I included some tips we found essential to a successful trip. Be sure to also make dining reservations at the dining room at the lodge, as it truly is the best ticket in town. Food options are rather limited inside the park.

Enjoy your trip!
