Pensacola in July/Blue Angels

My family and I are planning a trip to Pensacola Beach in July. As I was looking at the rates for a condo, a lot of their rates went up on Blue Angels weeks. I checked out the Blue Angels web page and they have a show on the 14th. I have never been to a show and was wondering if they practice all week long and have the "big finale" on Saturday. Any information would be greatly appreciated :) Also some of the condos advertise as right where the BLue Angels fly over. Would we be able to watch from our balcony or the beach or would the museum be the best place. Thanks!!

Not sure, but I was looking at condos there too, and saw one that had a plane flying by the condo in a pic, so I guess it is possible that they fly over beach.

The Blue Angels fly on Pensacola Beach every July. Wednesday morning they fly a "breakfast practice", Thursday they practice around noon, Friday and Saturday is the whole show including other airplanes. Thursday is prretty calm, and Saturday is crazy!

Enjoy your stay!

Where is the best place to watch the Blue Angels and what other things do you recommend for my stay of 8 days?

I would watch them from the beach on Thursday-to the left of fishing pier, looking at water. If you see a great show on Thursday, then anywhere you can find a spot to hang out for a few hours would be great for Friday and Saturday. Be warned- People are banned from entering the Gulf water during the show.

Things to do- Fishing trip Zoo visit

National Naval Aviation Museum-NAS

Downtown Pensacola

Fort Pickens

Have a great visit.

My daughter lives right on Pensacola Beach! We would like to schedule a fishing trip either in the bay or in the ocean. Any recommendations for trips? I take it we can fish anywhere around the Blue Angels practice on Thurs, Friday or Saturday-correct? AND by the way, thanks for the information!

You need to be on Pensacola Beach to see the show. If you don't like crowds or traffic, come watch Thursday's show.

What time does the airshow start on Saturday. We plan on staying with my aunt and uncle that live in Lillian and driving in early to find a good spot. Is there any spots that you can recommend, and I also saw where we are not allowed to get in the water while they are flying, is it ok before the show.

Saturday, July 14th air show begins at noon, the Blue Angels

fly at 2 pm. On Saturday arrive early, park at large Casino Beach Parking lot, and pick your spot. I believe only during the Blues show, do you have to exit the water. Have a great time!
