Driving in for a day, need advice

We are going to drive to Pensacola and since it is just for the day on the beach, don't want to be driving around looking...

When we cross the bridge, should we go left or right, where is the least crowded but nice beach section for a 6 year old? Restrooms? Public parking close to beaches?

The public restrooms are located at the main beach area, also called casino beach, at the parking area just before entering into Fort Pickens, inside Fort Pickens, all located to the right. There are also some located at the National Seashore and the Navarre pier to the left. All parking is in designated areas off the main road where there will be access to the beach provided. Don't walk over the dunes as they are under a dune restoration project. Most areas do not allow roadside parking, so exercise care with where you park. Life guards are provided at the main beach area and at the entrance area to Fort Pickens.
