Renting a cabin in North Carolina

I need some suggestion. We are planning to go to Boone next winter. We (8 girls) for safety reason would like to stay in a cabin that is not to deep into the woods. Also we would like to stay in a cabin that have some yard/land that if we get some snow we can slide down the hill. We will appreciate any suggestion. Boone or Blowing Rock is fine , we don't have a preference between one or the other.

I don't have a specific recommendation for you, but I can tell you that you should be able to find plenty of choices. Many cabin rentals are in "communities" or developments with other cabins. Still secluded, but with lots of other places close by. A realtor could be a big help here, as often the pictures in the rental ads are designed to make the places look even more secluded than they really are. So often you just can't tell that there are other places right next door, or just down the hill.

In addition to Boone/Blowing Rock, check Seven Devils and Banner Elk for more choices. Also, if you use vrbo.com you can often contact the owner directly to ask specific questions. Good luck!

Get in touch with Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rentals. log cabin rentals.com We have been going to the Boone area for the last 5 years and have never been disappoined. They have a large selection of "Cabins" (big beautiful homes really) and the people that work there are very knowledgable and friendly. You will love the area.
