Is there such a thing as a cabin with expansive mountain views (sunset) with golf on the side for two couples?

Yes. Mountain Air in Burnsville. They used to have a lodge where non-homeowners could stay. I don't know if they still do but you could check. Basically it is a golf course set on top of a mountain; if you have a private plane you can fly into a strip that is in the middle of the course.

Beech Mountain has houses on the golf course, many with great views. No golf course condos though. The golf couse is not open in the winter .

Also Linville Ridge is high above Linville, NC with a golf course and high end homes.

You might check out Wolf Laurel north of Asheville. They probably have a website. The golf course changes altitude 900 feet from the highest to the lowest points on the course. Some spectacular views. I'm betting they have rentals in addition to a motel on top of the mountain.
