Dining choices.. Outdoor? Not super fancy, but nice

Hey there. We're looking for a place to have a nice quiet anniversary meal. We aren't foodies, so we don't need anything super upscale. We've looked at Biltmore, but didn't want to pay just to dine. I would love a place out of town(would drive up to 45 min) with good food and a view. Any thoughts?

You mention Biltmore. Where will you actually be?

Asheville is great. Since you are from Wisconsin and used to great beer, you might want to check the Lexington Ave Brewery. It is good and reasonable. Also, Tupelo Honey.

Try La Strada at Lake Lure. There is outside dining and the view is to die for. The food is very good too. It is about a 30 minute drive from Asheville.
