We are looking for 2 places to spend the night on the Oregon coast: senic, smallish, quaint, less touristy, nice dunes and beaches.

Thanks for your answers! Looks like we're going to the Hallmark in Newport and the Casa Rubio in Smith River. Then on to the Andiron in Little River, before home to Walnut Creek.

Hmmm, Smith River definitely fits your requirements. Newport does not - it's a large, busy, and yes touristy town. But the Hallmark has a good location up on the bluff :-)
