Where to stay???

We'll be in Boston for 4 nights in late June, and want to spend the last 3 nights of our week in Maine. We've found 3 great rental properties, all in different towns. We're trying to decide between Bridgton, Crescent Lake, and Windsor, outside of Augusta. We enjoy fishing, hiking, shopping, and relaxing! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

The Bridgton location would put you fairly close to ample shopping in the outlet stores of North Conway, New Hampshire. Not much shopping in the vicinity of the other two locations.

Thanks for the help. Would Bridgton be close enough to the coast for a day trip to the Boothbay Harbor area , Camden, etc...?? The shopping isn't super important, and we really like to visit quaint local shops more than anything. We want to stay "in a woodsy area" but be close enough to the tourist areas as well. Thanks again!

Bridgton/Sebago/Crescent should be relaxed in June, prior to the summer "onslaught". Day trips doable into Portland and south coast (e.g. Cape Elizabeth/Scarborough). Boothbay and mid-coast may be too far (2.5 hrs plus) for daytripping.

Windsor is within 45-60 minutes of mid-coast destinations but there is little in Windsor proper. Would minimally drive 15-25 minutes to Augusta/Hallowell for dining or "quaint local shops".

Have you seen anything on Damariscotta Lake? You could day-trip from there to various coastal locations, but have the woodsy, lakefront feel. If you really want to look around/shop quaint towns, I'd also look at rentals on the Pemaquid peninsula.
