food in Anguilla

We're looking into a trip to Anguilla and possible staying at Cuisinart - bringing a 14 year old. What can we expect to pay for a burger/beer/martini?

A burger at the Pumphouse or Ferryboat Inn (the 2 best on the island) run about $8-8.50. A great pizza from the Corner Bar in North Hill runs about $14. A beer at a bar is around $4 (average -- some less). Never had a martini but the mango coladas & other "island-y" drinks are $5-6.

Food is expensive but there are many very reasonable places to eat -- the beach bars on Shoal Bay East (Gwen's & Elodia's, for example); Roy's, Johnno's, Smokey's (all beach bars); very good roadside stands or barbeques (Hungry's van in the Valley and B&D's near Meads bay); Roadwell Cafe, E's Oven & Tasty's for excellent, locally-owned restaurants; Picante's for great Mexican food.

Bumping for the person looking for reasonable restaurants...Mary's post is great.

Also check the menus on menus.ai http://www.menus.ai/

Some of the ones I know that are very good with good prices:

E's Oven

Ferry Boat Inn

I second the recommendations for burgers and beer at the PumpHouse. Also Tasty's for Lobster Salad or Grand Marnier French Toast for breakfast.
