Some of you might find this interesting:
Interesting that stay over visitors are down 10% over same month last year....wow. Wonder if fear is creeping into the equation?
Just heard today about how great Anguilla is so I was looking to see what it is all about, looking at possibly our next vaca spot. But, I just read your post and am wondering what the "fear" is??
I don't get the "fear" comment.
Then again, i also don't understand who would go to AXA and not be a stay over visitor.....i cant imagine going to AXA as a day tripper. But then again, I can't imagine not going to AXA!!!!
Great, thanks for the reassurance. Can you recommend a place to stay?
What is your budget? And how many of you will be travelling?
2 of us. Can we do a 4 or 5 night stay for $2,000 including meals? We aren't much into the party scene. We like that Anguilla seems secluded and laid back, but we do like activity...probably no watersports such as skiing on the island?
There are no "watersports" in AXA........as far as jet skis, skiing etc. You can get kayaks etc. There isnt really a "party scene" in AXA....a few places for live music etc but not really a "party scene".
Forgot to ask.....when are you going?
Yes, you can probably do it for 2K but you wont be in luxury and you wont be doing the best restaurants on the island etc. There are some villas or apartments you can get in low season and if you do breakfast and lunch in.....you can probably do it for 2k.
Opps.......one last question.......do you require AC in the bedroom?
We would probably be going in November, if we can't make it then we would go Jan/Feb. If the nights are typically humid we would prefer AC, if it's a nice breeze with the windows open we could do without...not sure what the typical weather is there. Thanks so much for the info
Oh, and we love to snorkel...probably any area is good for that?
