Itinerary for first trip next week!

So far this is what I have and is not written in stone.

first 2 days are in SXM-don't have much planned here except I want to check out Loterie Farm and also watch the planes land. Maybe a club for some dancing. I hear they have some rocking places. We don't care for casinos.

May 1st (thurs) take the noon ferry over to AXA and have our first meal at FBI since we are already there and get our car from Bryan's. Head to CJ and sit in wonder there the rest of the day. No dinner plans yet.

Fri- Beach day at CJ have lunch on site then head to dinner probably at Smokeys

Sat-head to Rendezvous Bay and chill at the Sunshine Shack. My wife is a master gardener so we will check out Cuisinart while we are there. We have dinner reservations at Straw Hat for 6:00. It will be nice to see the sunset on Mead's.

Sun-Shoal Bay East. We will try to hit Le Bon Pain or Geraud's on the way then spend the day at SBE at whatever places look fun to stop and drink at. Dinner we will hit On Da Rocks for some Crayfish! If will still have energy will will swing by the Pumphouse.

Mon-Davida for lunch and find Calvin and head to Little Bay. Dinner at 6:30 at Veya

Tues-another beautiful day lounging at CJ. Might check out Corner pizza for some dinner.

Wed-check out our flight on SXM is not until 3:25 any suggestions on when we need to leave or what we could do for a our last few hours on AXA?

Gwen's is the best Sunday spot on SBE for music and great view. We usually get there at 1pm to have our pick of spots and music is really going by 3. We now schedule our trips so we have two Sundays at Gwen's! Haven't made it to On Da Rocks yet (especially on a Sunday after too many of Gwen's rum punches) but we hear it is fantastic!

Gwens' and Elite are 2 of the places I really want to stop at on our SBE day.

Almost forgot to add Dune Preserve Friday night! Can't miss that. I hope Bankie will be playing.

I have a list of secondary stuff too that we might so if the mood strikes like drinks at the Viceroy. I also have a whole list of other places to eat in case somehwere is closed or we are just in the mood for something else with a focus on the cheaper places like A Burger, Roy's , E's, and Kens on it.

Elite is fantastic, love the food and the view. It is more toward Island Harbour (past SBE and closer to On Da Rocks.) Really great food and reasonably priced.

Thanks it is really hard to tell where everything is on google maps. I think, but am not sure, since I have not been yet that a lot of other places are misplaced on there. They still show Straw Hat at its old location and I have a feeling that is not the only mistake.

I wouldn't do dinner at Smokey's. There are many other better choices. Maybe Sand Bar in Sandy Ground for tapas, or Ripples if you're trying to stay on the inexpensive side. I also found LaVue to be good and inexpensive. Have a wonderful time!

You might want to go to your resident resort's Pimms restaurant for your first night so you won't need to drive anywhere after all your travels.

It is arguably the most romantic restaurant on the island and a good way to start the "festivities."

I thought about that Pepper, but everything I have heard about Pimm's is that it is just ok and way overpriced for what you get. I have nothing against a pizza or burger.

As far as being tired from travel we only have to drive to the ferry (from the Westin) and ferry ride that day as we will already be on SXM for a few days before heading over to AXA so no jet lag that day. I have thought about maybe Spice at Cap Juluca which is not as pricey I think and is open to 11pm. Anybody eaten there? It only says they have "light fare" on the website and a am a pretty big eater!

Skip dinner at Smokey's. Go to Tasty's just up from the Ferryboat Inn.

I wouldn't miss Meads Bay-Ocean Echo was our favorite and the quietest location. If you want more people, Straw Hat is good. Don't miss Elite. You may have a better chance of getting crayfish on Saturday than Sunday at On Da Rocks. If you order a sandwich as Le Bon Pain for breakfast, be aware that it is on a full baguette-plenty for 2 hungry people...maybe 3:-)

I agree that you should skip Smokeys and do Sand Bar (we ere there last night---it is fantastic). Smoekys is great for lunch. They have chairs and umbrellas and you can swim between rum punches and lunch courses :)
