Rank in order of your fav/must-relax-on beaches, thx!

Hey there -

We're putting the final touches on our plans and I'd love the groups' personal opinions on their fav beaches from the list below (too many gorgeous beaches and so little time)- - and if you think I'm missing one (which I probably am :)) - please add away! We love relaxing, enjoying music and sometimes deserted beaches. THANK YOU in advance!

- SBE

- Meads Bay

- Shoal Bay West

- Rendezvous Bay

- Savannah Bay

- Barnes Bay

- Cove Bay

- Crocus Bay

- Prickly Cay/Sandy Island (already confirmed w/ Chocolat)

- Maunday's Bay

You've got my favorite one first already - Shoal Bay East (especially the section between Shoal Bay Villas and Elodias for the quietest retreat and calmest water.)

SHOAL BAY EAST - just where Beachfan suggests - between SBV and Elodias and then up to the point!

MEADS - relaxing in loungers at Jacala before and after a fabulous lunch…great area for swims and walks!

For me, it would be Rendezvous Bay, Maunday's, SBE and Meads.

I agree with SBE but the water is not always calm and is totally dependent on storms to the far north. There is no beach that is always calm.

Shoal Bay East used to be my mostest favoritest beach on the island. Now it plays second fiddle (albeit a close second) to Rendezvous Bay.

I also love the serenity of Maundays Bay, but the other two beaches provide more options for eating and facilities than Maundays does.

Our favorites are

Mead's Bay-Ocean Echo has amazing loungers and we were often the only ones on their stretch of beach-perfect water and sand

Maunday's Bay-just amazingly beautiful

Sandy Hill Bay-beautiful, sandy, snorkeling-small but great

Savannah Bay-it was kind of crowded when we were there, but set away from everything, good snorkeling, great food-just order an hour before you want to eat and enjoy the beach (if you have kids, the little boy may follow you and make it not worth visiting though)

Shoal Bay East-prefer the quieter section...very crowded in some parts-toward Upper Shoal Bay is beautiful

Rendezvous Bay-we didn't like Garvey's-too crowded for us, broken chairs-I'd go to the left and bring my own chairs next time. Beach itself is beautiful

Crocus Bay-lots of rocks in the water when we were there. I don't know if that is normal. Very nice if you want to feel like you are at a resort for the day.
