Cocobay cottages question

We have booked our vacation at Cocobay for February and we have a non-ocean view room, supposedly not even a partial ocean view. Did we make a mistake? Should we spend extra for at least a partial ocean view or are all the cottages OK? We don't really need to see the ocean from our room, but I was just wondering if the non-ocean view cottages are so far away that they are hidden behind the hill or something. Any previous visitor that can advise us? Thanks!

I would suggest you upgrade. We were there in May with an ocean front cottage. Although we had neighbors on both sides, we were not overlooked because of trees, and of course, no one in front. There is also less traffic around the cottage.

Many of the non ocean front and some ocean views are close to reception and some even over look the drive with taxis and people about most of the time.

ALL our cottages have waterviews....The ONLY one without a direct view of te ocean is the Tahiti cottage which is DIRECTLY on the water on the Cocobay side.

We do hope that we are not compared with the Cocobay Resort which is more a "motel " type of units than our cotatges which are ALL seperate and at least 50 or more feet away from each other.

Refering to our NEW website should give you a feel and overviews of our wonderful location!
