Island hopping from Antigua by boat or ferry

We are flying into Antigua for 2 weeks in late November. Having been to Antigua for the last 2 years, and not having booked a hotel yet this year, we are considering the possibility of visiting other local islands.

We have used Kayak.com and other flight comparison sights and so we are aware of the possibility of local flights. However this type of hopping does not really appeal to us. We wonder if someone can suggest how we can visit other islands by boat or ferry.

We want to go farther than Barbuda.

There is a ferry service to Montserrat, that's all plus Barbuda.

LIAT do some good day trips if you want to see a few more islands. I always particularly enjoy the contrast of a day (or two) on Dominica.

Thank you all. It seems there are just no boats going further afield. That's a bit disappointing.

The waters around the Leeward Islands have never been ideal for ferrry operations - the distances are bigger than you might think and they are by no means the easiest to navigate. If you want to travel this way the two real options in the Caribbean are the Virgin Islands and the Grenadines.
