?? Duty Free Liquor Shop at Airport

Is there a shop at the Airport to buy liquor before we board our flight to return home? Or, should we pick it up in St. John's?

Thanks

There are two liquor shops in the airport -- and prices vary b/w the two -- the rum we bought was cheaper at one store than the other -- but it was even cheaper in St John's -- on our 2nd trip we bought it in St John's -- but then it goes in your suitcase (well wrapped) so allow for the extra weight and make sure you know the baggage weight allowance you are permitted.

If luggage weight is a problem, then shop at the airport and carry it on the plane.

And, if you shop in St John's -- check the prices at stores first -- they vary there too.

Thanks hopetogo... we usually purchase liqueurs as they are a lot cheaper than here in Nova Scotia.

Since we have a connecting flight out of Toronto, it ends up in our suitcase at some point anyways as we cannot take it on board our TO to Hfx flight.

Appreciate your prompt reply!

It's worth knowing that many things are actually as cheap, sometimes cheaper, at the big supermarkets. They're also more likely to have the plastic bottles that are a lot more convenient for packing in checked luggage.

English Harbour 5 year old rum is fantastic - one of the best rums that I've ever tasted. Cavalier is more "run of the mill", but still quite good.
