time needed at airport

How much time should we allow at airport before flight out of Antigua on a Saturday afternoon in January? I don't see any recent advise.

Beach - Normally travel agents advise that you get to the airport 2-3 hours before your flight.

I would adhere to this.

Be aware that the airport can be chaotic if more than one flight is leaving at the same time.

The area after security is quite small with limited seating.Duty Free shopping is limited

There is an executive lounge

There's usually plenty of seating upstairs - even on a Saturday. If the upstairs entrance to the departure lounge is open, it's usually quicker than the one downstairs.

If you're travelling to the US, allow a bit of extra time for baggage search, especially if your flight is busy. I'd generally stick with the no less than 2 hour recommendation.

the other thing is it can be noisy in the airport. We almost missed our flight home becuase we didn't hear them call our flight (45 minutes early)
