Insect Repellant

Hi all :)

We are leaving for CocoBay in three weeks (excited!!!!)

I wondered if you could recommend best mosquito repellant readily available in the UK.

Thanks

Boots Tropical Strength (High in Deet) works the best for us.

Recommend Boots 50% deet.

The higher the deet content the better. Be careful if you wear nail polish though, I was told that it can strip it off, I took a pair of plastic gloves with me.. Or just stick your hands in a carrier bag as you apply, same thing, and does the trick.

Must say though, we only used it the first couple of days, but did not see any mosquitoes - so for the first time ever to the Caribbean we abandoned using spray altogether. No one appeared to have a problem with mosquitoes but we may have been lucky with the time of year. We went in April/May and stayed at a different resort to you.

Incognito is a natural repellant that we used when at Cocobay last November with reasonable success. You can get it from Amazon - and I think someone said that Waitrose are also selling it now.
