Antigua or Jamaica

Having a tough time deciding to go to Antigua or Jamaica. If we go to either it would be at Sandals, either Grand Antigua or Whitehouse in Jamaoica. Been to Whitehouse, but never to Antigua. Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of either or both places. Or if there is a better 3rd place let me know.

Antigua is a longer flight and a smaller island. You know the drive to Whitehouse and if that bothers you, then Antigua might be a better option. Considering both hotels operate under the same brand, there probably is little difference between the way they operate. Maybe Sandals Royal Bahamian as a 3rd option?

If you want a third option for Antigua, checkout Galley Bay or Coco Bay.

Bit surprised if flights to Antigua really are longer (assuming you are coming from UK) because flight to Jamaica is 500 miles longer!

And only about 200 miles more from (say) New York

The OP is in New Hampshire, USA. Closest international airport would be Logan (Boston).

Direct flight to MBJ take 4hrs24m (Jetblue).

Flight to Antigua requires a stop-over (JFK/MIA) - shortest I found took 6hrs52min (Delta).

Apologies for the confusion.

If you plan to spend most of your time at the resort, then it probably doesn't matter much which you choose, although the trip from the airport to the resort would be much shorter in Antigua. If you are interested in getting out of the resort and seeing the island, then which would be better depends on what you want to see and do.
