Casino next to SGA

I've read that there is a casino next door to Sandals Grande Antigua. Can anyone tell me if it's worth checking out if you enjoy a little gambling on your vacation? Thanks!

I'm sure it is. If you are staying at Sandals, they have their own entrance from the resort too. Plus I believe they have ladies nights, cheap booze etc etc. Not for me, but for some !

absolutely! you should check it out! like the previous person said they have their own private walkway from Sandals right into the entrance. When we

were there last summer, they had a person standing at the door watching over for people! (alot of drinking going on so we appreciated that) !!

You can definitely go and check it out - as it is just a 30 second walk from the resort. BUT in saying that - the place to us was really disappointing. The staff there were either rude or had the saddest looks on their face. Definitely not the most welcoming environment - and we were really turned off by the whole atmosphere. Too bad as we do enjoy gambling! We went to the marriott casino in st. kitts and the atmosphere was a complete 180 - very friendly and welcoming!

It wasn't very lively when we were there during sailing week in April. Very few people were playing and the staff of young women looked rather sad to be there. It seemed like a bad movie scene. We collect chips from casinos around the world and had to make a special request to get a chip that mentioned the name of the casino.

yeah there is a grumpy gus behind the sports book counter at the casino. Just be prepared for people who look like they watched the old yeller sad scene on continual loop for 6 hours!
