Oceania Eagle Beach

Hello All,

My wife and I rented a condo at the Oceania for the last few days of April into the first week of May.

We're really excited as this is our first trip to Aruba. The condo itself looks phenomenal, and the owner has been awesome!! We are in our early 50's, pretty laid back and mellow.

Please share your experiences (likes and dislikes) of the Condo complex, Beach, Water (wavy or calm) Restaurants, Stores and the surrounding area. Any other information you can think of providing would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!

We are in our mid 6o's and have been staying at Oceania yearly for about seven years. We LOVE it and always compare it favorably to the other vacations we take. It is beautifully landscaped, secure, quiet, the pools are awesome. I can't think of any downside except you have to take your own beach chairs down and there is a little two lane road to cross over. You can easily walk to many restaurants, our favorites are Screaming Eagle and Chalet Suisse; depending on how far you can walk Passions on the Beach is awesome, in the other direction, we love Ike's, Mulligans (casual) and Windows on Aruba (upscale) -both at Divi Golf). We shop at Superfoods nearby and rent a car from Econo at La Quinta down the street.

First of all, you will be across the road from the most beautiful beach. We walk it every morning we are lucky enough to be there. If you walk early you will see the cruise ships coming in. You will be surrounded by many restaurants. The hardest thing will be deciding which one to go to. The sunsets into the ocean are something everyone goes to the beach to see. Just walk out to the beach about 6:30 to 7:00 pm. We find renting a car makes our stay nicer, but you can take cabs or walk if you do not want to rent a car. They are reasonable and you can pick one up at the airport and drop it off at the airport. Most people you will meet will be repeat visitors to Aruba, so that says it all!

I stayed at Oceania 2 times in 2017, once in March in a 3BR condo that was ground level and "ocean front" in the sense it was as close to the ocean as you could get, and once in Nov/Dec in a 2Br that was in the further back part on the 3rd floor but still had an ocean view.

Loved it both times. The first time we had our toddler with us and he loved the zero entry pools. It was perfect for him. The beach across the street was also fine and calm while we were there for the most part.

There aren't too many restaurants right by although we walked to Screamin Eagle to eat there. I'd strongly recommend a car so you can explore and go wherever you want.

We like how quiet it is at the Oceania. Both times we were there it seemed like we were the only people in the whole complex other than a few other people. But we also like to drive to where there is more stuff going on. It's just nice to have the option to do both, but when we wanted to sleep we know we're in a calmer quieter area.

We have stayed at Oceania 6 times and loved all of the units we stayed in, except the first one which was on the first floor. It didn't give us the wonderful views from the other units that we rented after that. The unit itself was wonderful except for the view, but I can see that being on the first floor might be easier for some people.

We do not rent a car as we walk to nearby restaurants. But if we want to go further we take the Arubabus which will stop right outside the gate. It is very reasonable and can get up to the high rise area for other casinos and restaurants or to the downtown area.

We think you will love it there as well.

Cant wait til we go again in a few weeks!

Thanks for sharing your experiences and suggestions! This place looks perfect for us!! The photo's of our condo look great, with an amazing ocean & pool view. The condo/owner has 72 VRBO ratings, all are 5 star except for 2 which are 4 star. That speaks for itself.

Totally psyched!! Any other info or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Make a grocery list and head to superfoods after you settle in.It's a great resort ,gated with 24 hr security, but there are no shops on site.

Yes, Prestige Vacations is awesome; they really care about their units and the people who rent them. Enjoy !
